My name is Wilfrid, I ride a bike...

Me after my 3rd ever race.

Some say I've started at the right time, others say I've started early, when I compare myself to other riders of my age (17) I'd say I've started late! I got my first road bike aged 13, it was either going to be that or a sea kayak, in the end my dad chose the bike...damn. I didn't start cycling seriously until the autumn of 2012, after seeing Chris Froome at La Vuelta. 

I've lived in Leighton Buzzard since I can remember though I was born in London and lived there originally. Leighton Buzzard's not particularly exciting, nor is it fantastic cycling country. There are a few big hills but most of it's rolling fields. 

I'm just finishing my AS Levels now, after which I have one more year before University. I'd like to study Physics, with emphasis on Theoretical Physics. But that's not what this blog is about, this blog is about the adventures of a young cyclist and my views on the cycling world as I step timidly into it.
